Purpose and Scope

This role focuses on identifying, developing, co-creating with, and managing strategic fintech partnerships and strategies for the growth of the SA payments ecosystem and BankservAfrica customer and industry value.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategy Development: Develop and implement business strategy for fintechs, including PSPs and payments technology enablers.
  2. Market Opportunities: Identify and qualify market opportunities, trends, research, and forces for growth to expand existing BSA solutions.
  3. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage and report on sales and opportunity pipeline with internal stakeholders.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage and build relationships with key external stakeholders.
  5. Mentorship and Skills Transfer: Mentor team members to ensure skills transfer and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Appropriate tertiary or business-related qualification preferred (Degree in commerce/marketing/management).
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of banking and payment industries, with experience in fintech/Payments/Banking/Financial Services.
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in MS Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in Business Development, Fintech/Payments/Banking/Financial Services, with demonstrable success/projects.
