We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Communications Strategist to develop and communicate our organization's work to various stakeholders, both internally and externally, to support our programs and fundraising efforts.

This role is a key part of our team, responsible for creating engaging content, messaging, and materials that showcase our commitment to human rights and social justice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communications strategy that aligns with our organizational goals and objectives.
  • Create high-quality content, including written articles, social media posts, and multimedia materials that effectively convey our message.
  • Maintain and update our website, ensuring it remains a valuable resource for our audience.
  • Manage and optimize our social media presence, including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, to increase engagement and followers.
  • Plan and execute all digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns and online advertising.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of our digital communications strategy, using metrics to inform future decisions.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in digital media, marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in digital communications, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, including their capabilities and limitations.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in at least one other South African language.
