Job Title: Working Foreman

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Working Foreman to join our team at Bonafide Human Capital (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring that repairs are performed efficiently and effectively by our qualified technicians.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified service technicians to join our team.
  • Assist technicians in developing their skills and providing technical support when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations affecting service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OHSA Right-to-Know.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for all technicians in accordance with dealership guidelines.
  • Assign repairs to technicians in an equal and fair manner.
  • Provide technical support for technicians when necessary.
  • Ensure repairs are charged out correctly.
  • Monitor progress of each repair order throughout the day.
  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimize comebacks.
  • Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
  • Account for all documents and ensure they are processed correctly.
  • Establish and maintain customer follow-up programs to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
  • Handle customer complaints within 24 hours, informing other managers as appropriate.
  • Manage department performance using tools such as the daily operating control (DOC), efficiency and productivity control, comeback reports, warranty reports, telephone surveys, and monthly forecasts.
  • Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  • Monitor shop conditions, including cleanliness, safety, and the condition of shop equipment. Report problems to the service manager or dealer.
  • Ensure the proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommend purchases.
  • Fill in for service advisor and dispatcher when necessary.
  • Attend manager's meetings as requested.
  • Strive for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Technician
  • Must have workshop Foreman experience
