We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Working Foreman to join our team at Bonafide Human Capital (Pty) Ltd. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring that repairs are performed correctly and efficiently by qualified technicians, while maintaining a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified service technicians.
  • Assist technicians in developing their skills and providing technical support when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations that affect service operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OHSA Right-to-Know.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews for all technicians in accordance with dealership guidelines.
  • Ensure that all repairs are assigned to technicians in an equal and fair manner.
  • Provide technical support for technicians when necessary.
  • Ensure repairs are charged out correctly and checks progress of each repair order throughout the day.
  • Maintain high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks.
  • Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
  • Road test vehicles to quality-check work performed.
  • Account for all documents and ensures that none are missing, and all are processed correctly.
  • Establish and maintain customer follow-up programs to confirm satisfaction with the service experience.
  • Handle all customer complaints within 24 hours, informing other managers as appropriate.
  • Manage department performance using tools such as the daily operating control (DOC), efficiency and productivity control, comeback reports, warranty reports, telephone surveys, and monthly forecasts.
  • Monitor technicians' daily productivity reports and corresponding payroll records.
  • Monitor shop conditions, including cleanliness, safety, and the condition of shop equipment. Reports problems to the service manager or dealer.
  • Ensure the proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools.
  • Keep abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases.
  • Fills in for service advisor and dispatcher when necessary.
  • Attends manager's meetings as requested.
  • Strives for harmony and teamwork within the department and with all other departments.
  • Maintains a safe work environment.
  • Maintains professional appearance.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Technician
  • Must have workshop Foreman experience

We are looking for a candidate with sound communication skills in English and the language commonly spoken in the area, as well as interpersonal competence, professional and technical expertise in vehicle service and repair maintenance, problem-solving and motor vehicle fault-finding skills, planning and organizing, supervising and leading, delivering results and meeting customer expectations, following instructions and processes, coping with pressure and setbacks, being a team player, decision-making and action-oriented, and valuing diversity.
