In this position, you will assume responsibility and collaborate frequently with software and application architects as well as development teams to ensure that development adheres to architectural standards. You will be instrumental in planning, designing, leading, and executing technical solutions, along with enhancements within the respective Software Development Teams.

Your role will involve defining, designing, and implementing significant components of the software and application architecture for the IT team, working closely with product management and engineering team members, while maintaining close communication with business teams focused on IT Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide technical guidance to the team through collaborative sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives. Regularly engage with software and application architects to ensure that team development aligns with architectural standards. Collaborate with other developers, designers, analysts, and architects to ensure that solutions meet application requirements and performance objectives. Oversee code reviews to ensure compliance with standards and maintain a robust codebase. Ensure that all technical solutions consider compatibility with other environments and dependencies, prioritize usability, reliability, and security. Promote the adoption of processes within the team that meet expectations for technical throughput, response times, and resource utilization. Guarantee thorough testing of any solution prior to deployment and establish standards and processes within the team to align with these practices. Deliver a comprehensive and technically sound solution that addresses all specified tasks and user objectives and has undergone rigorous testing. Provide relevant documentation to support teams, thereby reducing the development support burden. Where feasible, develop and implement a quality mechanism for the solution to analyze faults and generate reports before critical failures occur. Create solutions that facilitate modifications for future developers, minimizing defects and enhancing system quality. Implement improved processes that positively impact team performance and the company's bottom line. Identify team members needing specific knowledge or skills and seek ways to mentor and upskill them.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5 to 8 years of experience in a similar role, with 2 to 3 years at a specialist level. 3 to 5 years of experience in a development environment. Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, and Java, ideally across the software stack, with experience in algorithm development and various data management technologies. Experience with SQL and Java. Familiarity with API development. Knowledge of Linux and Windows environments.
