Senior Business Development Manager

Rory Mackie & Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Business Development Manager - Team Lead. This position will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in servicing the Financial Advisor Offices with matters related to our clients' products, processes, transactions, and web services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Workflow Management:
- Manage daily dashboards, including AWD and email management
- Make decisions on case escalation and ensure follow-through
- Ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met and inform management as needed
- Identify dashboard shortcomings and propose changes, additions, or simplifications
- Human Resource Management:
- Manage team performance based on key measures
- Communicate strategy to the team and translate it into actionable tactics
- Implement our client service values and culture
- Diversity management
- Facilitate teamwork and motivate team members
- Recruitment interviewing
- Performance management (contracting, feedback, addressing non-performance)
- Facilitate training and development opportunities
- Coaching and conflict management
- Disciplinary and grievance procedures
- Short-term operational planning (coordination of team functions)
- Staff capacity planning (leave, etc.)
- Team performance monitoring (KPIs, trends, and issues)
- Manage the quality and alignment of QA processes
- Succession planning
- Incoming and Outbound Phone Call Management:
- Call tracking
- Management reporting on consultants
- Phone interaction performance management
- Client Management:
- Sales Team:
- Establish and drive monthly meetings with sales team members
- Determine suitable agendas for discussion and value-added items
- Review regular trend analysis from the Solutionist Manager, including client profiling
- Broker Corporates (Clients):
- Study the top 20 client list
- Identify threats and opportunities on the client side and take action to mitigate threats and capitalize on opportunities
- Build relationships with top advisors and manage service expectations through regular check-ins, phone calls, and/or meetings
- Sales Team:
- Vendor Management:
- Represent Advisor Liaison at meetings with vendors to extract maximum value from service providers
- Projects/UI Testing/New Initiatives:
- Participate in initial discussions around requirement collection, specification, and business impact
- Make decisions on resource allocation for development, testing, and implementation
- Manage follow-through and assess the success or failure of implementation
- Identify the need for new processes and present a business case to the Business Manager and Solutions Manager
- Manage the Solutionist Manager until a solution is found and initiated
Requirements:
- B. Com degree with subjects Economics and/or Finance
- Or other relevant qualifications: SAIFM (South African Institute of Financial Markets AKA registered persons), CFA, CFP would be advantageous
- 5 to 7 years' experience within the LISP industry
- Demonstrable management skills
- Management of Human Resources, Business Processes, Change, Manager Dashboards/Data, Capacity, and Client Relationships
- Linked Products, Unit Trusts, and Offshore Funds knowledge is essential or previous experience in financial services
