Overview:

Triton Express (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled Business Development Consultant to join our team. As a proud member of the Plennegy Group, we are dedicated to providing reliable and efficient road freight logistics solutions tailored to the diverse needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prospect for new business opportunities by identifying areas for growth, conducting market research, and making telephonic contact with potential clients.
  2. Qualify potential clients based on their requirements and submit these to the Sales Manager for consideration.
  3. Stay up-to-date with knowledge of service offerings and competitors in the industry.
  4. Gather market intelligence and information to identify freight service opportunities and competitor activities.
  5. Determine customers' needs and present Triton's services to meet their requirements, adding value to their business.
  6. Present formal proposals to potential clients.
  7. Negotiate prices and credit terms with clients.
  8. Continuously improve marketing strategies to achieve sales targets.
  9. Plan, organise, follow up, and communicate progress to clients effectively.
  10. Contribute to the optimisation of operations department capability.
  11. Update leads to PENTAGON.
  12. Effectively manage PENTAGON system & processes.
