Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate, align, process, and execute all designated customer Revenue Assurance tasks.
  • Oversee Case Manager duties and responsibilities related to Revenue Assurance.
  • Effectively address identified revenue leakage areas, assist the organization in resolving these issues, recover lost revenue, and prevent future leakage by implementing best practice controls.
  • Ensure consistent management of various control points to guarantee effective implementation, execution, and operation across different business structures.
  • Identify and articulate process requirements essential for controlling and resolving revenue leakage and opportunities.
  • Conduct oversight of all revenue streams to ensure timely, complete, and accurate billing of services rendered, including reconciliations associated with various billing platforms, switch data, and customer databases.
  • Perform data analysis of Revenue Assurance controls, quantify, and communicate the impact and risks of identified issues.
  • Validate the accuracy and completeness of data from all source systems, identifying exceptions, issues, and incidents.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of identified discrepancies to pinpoint the exact cause of mismatches and drive resolution across the organization.
  • Ensure cross-departmental coordination of Revenue Assurance activities and prompt escalation of incidents.
  • Analyze and monitor Revenue Assurance incidents until resolution and define measures to prevent similar error scenarios in the future.
  • Monitor all revenue streams, identify weak process areas that may lead to leakage, and propose strategies for revenue maximization.
  • Prepare presentation materials highlighting trends, key indicators, and performance metrics that affect revenue leakages.
  • Conduct extensive data extraction, manipulation, and analysis of source data and Assurance controls.
  • Analyze data models to identify high-risk areas and gaps.
  • Collaborate with IT Data Enablement teams to develop data models.
  • Create scripts to support reporting requirements, reconciliations, and investigations.
  • Document and present findings and outcomes of analyses.
  • Monitor and rectify data inconsistencies that could impact the quality and accuracy of billing and reporting processes.
  • Support DevOps teams in automating solutions and underlying assurance controls.
  • Provide guidance and technical direction to team members as needed.
  • Contribute to the business requirements for the design of solutions.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate qualification in finance or IT-related field (essential)
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of telecommunications business operations and in-depth technical (network & systems) capabilities
  • Advanced SQL certification and experience
  • Knowledge and experience of Revenue Assurance / Business Assurance operations within a telecom operator
  • Experience in financial and/or operational auditing/investigations methodologies and tools
  • Experience in business process analysis, modeling, and re-engineering
  • Knowledge of IT or system audit and data analysis experience
  • Experience with Siebel and other SRM-related systems
  • Process analysis
