About the Role:

Fempower Personnel is seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team as a Project Lead in the Renewable Energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading various phases of projects, including FEED, Basic Design, Detail Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, Commissioning, and End of Job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead interdisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage the execution of project scope, ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets.
  • Interfacing with suppliers, vendors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on project execution and technical matters.
  • Develop and implement value-added engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes and internal discipline work methods.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, cost estimates, and scope of work documents.
  • Ensure compliance with client, local, and international standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve client relations and satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a completed National Diploma/National Technical Diploma (S4), ND(T3) NTD (N6) or B.Eng/BSc. in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in design and draughting, with a focus on renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Prokon, Civil 3D, and MS Project, with experience in PVSyst an advantage.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with minimal supervision, and adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members to achieve project goals.
