Job Title: Parts Sales Manager for Commercial Vehicles

Salary: R45 000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)

Job Description:
As a Parts Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and profitability by developing and executing effective sales strategies. Your primary focus will be on commercial vehicle parts sales, requiring a strong understanding of the market, customer needs, and product offerings. You will work closely with channel partners to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and collaborate with internal teams to analyze sales data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Continuously monitor and analyze parts sales performance and trends
  2. Develop and implement sales schemes for parts sales, including discounts, seasonal requirements, and minimum margin requirements
  3. Making proposals for approval, ensuring alignment with stock availability and minimum margin requirements
  4. Securing approval for sales schemes
  5. Rolling out schemes to channel partners
  6. Promoting schemes among channel partners
  7. Calculating incentives based on scheme completion
  8. Communicating incentives achieved to channel partners
  9. Coordinating payments of incentives to channel partners
  10. Setting sales targets and motivating sales team members to achieve them
  11. Meeting with key customers through channel partners or direct interactions
  12. Beating plans for key accounts
  13. Action plan discussions and closure of action points
  14. Exploring new business avenues, such as tie-ups with body repair shops, engine/aggregate repair shops, lubricants, tyres, etc.
  15. Training channel partner sales teams on parts identification and promotion in their regions
  16. Resolving customer/channel partner complaints regarding wrong supplies, alternate part numbers, etc.
  17. Providing inputs on inventory planning, including lists of engine overhauling and body parts grouping
  18. Coordinating joint promotional activities with local vendors

Requirements:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to this role. The ideal candidate should have:
  1. Parts knowledge and experience in commercial vehicles
  2. A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Commercial Vehicle Parts Sales Manager in the Automotive Industry
  3. Experience with parts automotive PC software and Excel
  4. Ability to effectively manage and motivate staff
  5. Excellent customer service skills
  6. Strong organizational and communication skills
  7. Ability to understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
  8. Ability to analyze sales data and develop strategies
  9. Grade 12 (Matric)
  10. Valid Driver's License
  11. Motor Industry Experience is ESSENTIAL
