About the Role

Hire Resolve is seeking a highly skilled Data Operations Director to join our team in Cape Town. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of Total Plan data operation activities, including document management, hedge fund data, and accounting data. This role will ensure that our team members meet and surpass operational standards and achieve in-country objectives and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Workflow Optimization: Control local workflow and reduce bottlenecks by efficiently distributing resources among teams and minimizing roadblocks.
  2. Management Reporting: Improve management reporting (KPIs & KRIs) with a focus on operational metrics, including staffing metrics and metrics for accuracy, timeliness, workloads, and error reporting.
  3. Team Management: Ensure team members have a clear understanding of and adherence to work practices.
  4. SLA Compliance: Comply with or surpass internal SLA standards.
  5. Policy Enforcement: Ensure that policies are correctly applied and compliance is checked.
  6. Project Support: Ensure that projects have enough employees to support prompt execution.
  7. Organizational Structure: Verify that a suitable organizational structure is in place and updated as needed.
  8. Culture and Values: Collaborate with the local HR department to establish and advance the culture and values of the office.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field (Honours/master's is preferable).
  2. Experience: Minimum 7 years experience in Financial Services.
  3. Investment Book of Record: Experience in Investment Book of Record or Marketable Securities transparency is essential.
  4. Team Management: Minimum 3 years professional experience in managing teams with emphasis on people management and team development.
  5. Financial Markets: Sound knowledge and understanding of Public Equities and Global Financial Markets.
  6. Certifications: CFA or CAIA is advantageous.
