- Event Coordination: Organize and coordinate events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring all aspects are executed to the clients satisfaction.
- Logistics Management: Manage event logistics, including room bookings, catering, AV equipment, and special requests, while maintaining effective communication with internal departments.
- Performance Tracking: Prepare and present weekly and monthly sales reports, tracking performance against targets and providing insights for improvement.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of market trends, competitor activities, and industry standards to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in hotel sales, event coordination, or a similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably within a 4 or 5-star property.
- Track Record: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and delivering high-quality client service.
- Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using sales management software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Market Knowledge: Knowledge of the Polokwane and Limpopo market is advantageous.
