Professor of Computing Sciences

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Computing Sciences to join our team at the Department of Computing Sciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and review of new modules/curricula, mentoring junior colleagues, and representing the Department at relevant Faculty and University learning and teaching forums.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning and teaching for assigned module(s) in accordance with principles of good teaching practice.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and skills in providing effective learning, teaching and assessment opportunities.
- Evaluate and reflect on the quality of own teaching and assessment.
- Lead in the development and review of new modules/curricula.
- Mentor junior colleagues in the principles of good learning, teaching and assessment practices.
- Represent the Department at relevant Faculty and University learning and teaching forums.
Requirements
- A Doctoral degree in Computer Science.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as an Associate Professor, incorporating teaching experience, conducting and leading research activities, and engagement activity involvement in the field of Computer Science.
- Involvement in institutional organisational functions at a management level.
- Proven credible research and engagement record.
- Proven research publication record in accredited, high quality journals.
- Supervised a sustained number of Masters and Doctoral students to successful completion.
- Record of mentoring new academics and early-career researchers.
- Conducted collaborative research in international research teams.
- Have successfully obtained research grants.
