Job Overview

The Department of Computing Sciences at HR Genie is seeking a highly qualified academic leader to fill a position of Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in Computer Science or Information Systems and a proven track record of research and teaching excellence.

Main Responsibilities

Learning and Teaching:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials and assessments for assigned modules.
  • Supervise Postgraduate students and mentor junior colleagues in learning and teaching.
  • Participate in the development and review of new modules and curricula.

Research:

  • Conduct research in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems and publish research outputs in accredited journals.
  • Manage or participate in research projects and collaborate with other academics and industry partners.
  • Supervise Postgraduate students and mentor emerging researchers.

Engagement:

  • Participate in departmental engagement activities and represent the department at relevant Faculty and University engagement forums.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Doctoral degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Senior Lecturer or in a relevant industry.
  • An academic background in programming languages such as C#, Java, Matlab and data structures.
