Professor/Lecturer in Nursing Science

Nelson Mandela University is committed to attracting and retaining top talent. In line with our Employment Equity Plan, we are seeking to appoint a Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer in Nursing Science to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach and facilitate learning at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, ensuring a high-quality student experience.
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals, contributing to the advancement of nursing science.
- Supervise postgraduate students, including doctoral candidates, and provide guidance on research projects.
- Lead collaborative research projects, securing funding and third-stream income for the university.
- Establish a national reputation in the field of nursing science through consultation, policy development, and project involvement.
- Provide leadership in academic administration, mentoring novice researchers, and contributing to the creation of knowledge.
- PhD in Nursing or equivalent qualification.
- Registration with SANC as a registered nurse and nurse educator.
- 5 years of teaching experience in a learning, teaching, and research environment.
- Proven record of research portfolio, including successful postgraduate supervision and peer-reviewed publications.
- Leadership abilities and NRF rating (advantageous).
