About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Rigging Operations Manager to join our team at Execustaff Recruiting Services.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of riggers, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of signage equipment. This includes scheduling installations, liaising with project managers, and conducting daily briefings with riggers.

You will also be responsible for communicating with sub-contractors, acting as a stand-in project manager when necessary, and ensuring that all completed jobs are documented and invoiced on time.

In addition, you will oversee the administration of documents, manage trip schedules, and conduct site surveys to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

This is a key leadership role that requires excellent delegation skills, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of riggers to ensure safe and efficient installation of signage equipment.
  • Schedule installations and liaise with project managers to ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct daily briefings with riggers to discuss job requirements and objectives.
  • Communicate with sub-contractors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Act as a stand-in project manager when necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure all completed jobs are documented and invoiced on time.
  • Oversee administration of documents, including capturing and sending documents to project managers.
  • Manage trip schedules to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Conduct site surveys to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in rigging and team management.
  • A valid driver's license (code 08 EB or code 10).
  • Excellent delegation skills, decision-making abilities, and attention to detail.
  • A sound understanding of OSHA safety standards and applicable installation methods.
  • Familiarity with heavy machinery and rigging equipment.
  • Proficient computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office.

This role offers a competitive salary of R250,000 per annum, plus benefits, including medical aid, retirement fund contributions, and annual leave.

Location:

This position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa, but may require travel to other locations.
