Business Development Manager

Job Overview:
Ultra Pharmaceutical and Medical Placements is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead our regional sales team in KZN. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans to drive revenue growth and expand our market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
- Manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and support to help them meet their sales targets.
- Monitor sales performance and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with key clients and stakeholders to ensure business growth, customer satisfaction, and retention.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Customer Services, Marketing, Finance, and Logistics, to coordinate and streamline operations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the competition and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Assist with development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency, compliance, and quality standards are met.
Requirements:
- University degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Senior Management role within a Sales and/or Marketing department of a multi-national company.
- Strong financial and business acumen and experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and defining sales budgets.
- Fluent in English with strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills to lead and inspire sales teams to achieve sales goals and targets.
- Ability to think strategically and develop sales strategies that align with the overall business objectives.
