Job Description

The purpose of this position is to assess and settle motor claims in a fair and timely manner, ensuring that customers receive the compensation they are entitled to.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess damage to motor vehicles and determine the extent of the loss.
  • Negotiate with customers, intermediaries, and service providers to settle claims.
  • Verify the accuracy of claims and ensure that all necessary documentation is in order.
  • Generate reports and communicate the outcome of claims to customers and intermediaries.
  • Determine the market value of vehicles for settlement purposes.
  • Authorise repairs, cash settlements, or write-offs as necessary.
  • Complete investigative reports and make notes on systems.
  • Load order amendments and sign off on final costs.
  • Post claims to care and handle customer complaints and queries.

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Mechanical-related studies or Automotive/ equivalent Mechanical or Automotive Body Repair Qualification.
  • 3 years' experience in motor assessing.
  • Technical skills and policy wording interpretation, product training, and claim system training obtained through various training and courses would be advantageous.
