This role demands high-level organizational and communication skills, as well as expertise in sea freight operations and logistics management.
Main Accountabilities- Coordinate and administer international cargo movements, including sea freight operations.
- Negotiate freight rates and schedules with shipping lines and transporters.
- Ensure timely clearance and delivery of shipments, addressing any issues that may arise.
- Support the sales team with import & export quotations and provide advice on delivery planning.
- Collaborate with the accounts department to process payments efficiently.
- South African citizenship and residence in Johannesburg.
- Matric certificate, with preference given to those with related tertiary qualifications.
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics advantageous.
- A minimum of 3-4 years' experience in sea freight operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to work accurately and maintain confidentiality.
