Job Summary

The Director of Medical Affairs in Africa will provide strategic direction to achieve company and individual performance objectives. This role involves establishing educational activities with healthcare providers and research collaborations to build product awareness and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with quality system requirements.
  • Develop and deliver clinical messaging for products.
  • Create educational programs for clinical messaging.
  • Coach the commercial team on clinical product details.
  • Optimize communication with key customers.
  • Implement regional educational initiatives.
  • Integrate strategies across supported diagnostic areas.
  • Initiate internal and external research projects.
  • Oversee advocate development.
  • Significant travel required.


Requirements:
  • Qualified doctor (MBChB, MD, MBBS etc).
  • Education in Emergency Medicine, Neurology, Infectious or cardiovascular diseases, or related field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years' experience in clinical or lab medicine.
  • Experience in biotech/pharma/diagnostics industry preferred.


Location: Covers African region, with a focus on Johannesburg, South Africa.

This role requires a strong understanding of the African healthcare market and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to achieve business objectives.
