Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT Support Specialist to join our team at IIE Varsity College. As an ICT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to staff, students, and lecturers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer hardware and software, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. You will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support and assistance to staff, students, and lecturers
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting computer hardware and software
  • Installing and configuring computer systems and peripherals
  • Liaising with service providers to ensure efficient maintenance of IT equipment
  • Administering and maintaining the ICT asset register and equipment tracker
  • Providing training and orientation to staff on the use of hardware and software

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of a Higher Certificate/ Occupational Certificate Level 5 (NQF Level 5) in A+/N+
  • Advanced Certificate/ Diploma/Occupational Certificate Level 6 (NQF Level 6) in CCNA1/MCSE/MCTIP advantageous
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in ICT
