Automotive Business Development

We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager, Sales, Road to join our team at DSV - Global Transport and Logistics. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our Automotive vertical, with a focus on driving revenue growth and retention within the industry.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the automotive supply chain and logistics industry, with experience in managing account managers supporting reputable auto brands. They will also have excellent commercial skills, including tender submissions, revenue management, budget setting, and debtor management.
We are looking for a self-motivated individual who can maintain and grow accounts in a cost-effective and efficient manner while delivering exceptional value to our automotive customers. If you have a strong business acumen, professional communication skills, and a passion for logistics, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities- Tender Submissions: Ensure DSV is invited and responds effectively to market tenders.
- Revenue Management: Monitor billing variance reports to identify revenue loss and leakage. Achieve new business and retention targets.
- Budget Setting: Set annual budgets for all customers considering annual increases, up/down trade, trading days, and individual customer seasonality.
- Debtor Management: Manage teams to achieve guidance and assistance to resolve debtor issues.
- Minimum of 5 years' end-to-end Supply Chain experience, with at least 3 years' experience managing account managers supporting reputable auto brands.
- National Diploma or equivalent.
