Salary Range: R850,000 - R1,100,000 per annum

About the Role:

This is a critical role within the Human Capital Function at HR Genie. As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will partner with our Centre and TH business to develop, promote and implement best practice Human Capital initiatives and systems that address current and future business needs.

The successful candidate will take overall responsibility for Business Partnering for the operation, providing trusted advice to line managers and employees on all people processes throughout the employment lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Tongaat People way to ensure a world-class employee experience.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process from end-to-end.
  • Develop strategies to meet and maintain Employment Equity/Diversity targets.
  • Champion Capability and Talent Initiatives, implementing the talent management way at the Centre.
  • Coach and support Line Managers on Success Management.
  • Act proactively to maintain a healthy employee relations environment.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to build relationships.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or Industrial Psychology or equivalent.
  • 5 or more years of experience as an HR Generalist and/or management role at a large enterprise or relevant experience.
  • Expert knowledge of applicable labour laws in South Africa.
  • Strong Employee Relations background.
  • Self-motivated and independent individual.
  • High ethical values and professional maturity.
  • Excellent planning, organizing skills and attention to detail.
  • Service-oriented approach and deadline-driven.
