Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled IR Officer to join our team in East London. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Manager and be responsible for various HR functions with a strong focus on industrial relations matters. Your key performance areas will include:

Responsibilities:

As an IR Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Handling employee grievances and disputes effectively.
  • Mediating conflicts between employees or between employees and management.
  • Implementing employee engagement initiatives to boost morale and productivity.
  • Advising on company policies and procedures related to employee conduct and welfare.
  • Supporting and promoting positive employer-employee relations to enhance employee satisfaction and productivity.
  • Negotiating collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) between management and labor unions, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry standards.
  • Handling disputes related to labor practices, wages, working conditions, and benefits.
  • Representing the organization in discussions with labor unions or regulatory bodies.
  • Providing guidance on labor relations strategies to align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
