**HR Business Partner**
- Two direct reports: HR Manager, Payroll Manager (team of 7)
- Assume overall responsibility for human resources across the group (1300 people)
- Must have at least 5 to 7 years experience in a similar role. Must have a tertiary qualification in HR.

**Employment Equity**:

- Ensure all aspects of EE are complied with
- Assume role of Employment Equity Manager for the company
- Ensure that a committee is established which meets at least quarterly with proactive plans on addressing goals within the company's EEA13. Combine this with training committee.
- Ensure minutes are taken and signed and that a relevant EEA13 is always maintained and approved
- Compile EEA4 & EEA2 and along with HR team, submit to Group HR Exec for review and submission

**Payroll**:

- Ensure complete payroll process is managed in terms of compliance, meeting deadlines and accuracy
- Work alongside and manage the Payroll Manager to ensure that payroll reports are quality checked
- Provide commentary on reports explaining the variances and ensure payroll is accurate for submission to Finance team for final check
- Ensure all HR input is intact with the correct approvals for processing
- Ensure that all operational managers meet payroll deadlines for submissions
- Ensuring that all employee files are up to date and filed electronically by team

**Reporting**:

- Ensure HR Dashboard is up to date and submitted timeously
- Ensure PAPE shareholder reporting is accurate and done timeously

**Industrial Relations**:

- Manage process of receiving team complaints from managers and advising and managing IR process
- Consulting with GEO (Employer Organisation) on charges where necessary on charges and ensure that they are issued as soon after the transgression
- Ensure that chairs are arranged for enquiries and sign off on all disciplinary hearings, insisting on consistency in terms of policy and practise
- Provide advice, wording, assistance and guidance for managers re drafting warnings and other disciplinary info
- Ensure that IR registers are maintained

**BBBEE**:

- Drive the BBBEE process by reviewing the BBBEE budget and plans with the HR Exec at the beginning of the year
- Ensure that the Mpowered system is updated on a monthly basis and that the score is discussed with the HR Exec to identify areas of improvement
- Manage audit submission with the BBBEE auditor and ensure that the Level 2 scorecard is maintained

**Training**:

- Ensure that learning and development initiatives and initiated and rolled in the business
- Attend SAEPA (small parcel association) programmes and ensure that best practise is implemented
- Ensure that WSP and ATR are submitted timeously and that training needs and plans are aligned with BBBEE strategy

**General**:

- Build trusting relationships with the executive and management of the business
- Ensure that performance management is implemented throughout the business
- Function as an objective partner to the management team with regards to organisational issues that impact people, including organisational structure and managing change
- Develop and improve HR practises, policies and processes
- Update the induction programme for new joiners and implement

**Inherent Requirements**

Essential: HR Degree/Diploma

Must have at least 5 to 7 years experience in a similar role at Senior level i.e. unionised labour intensive environment (manufacturing, FMCG/Pharma, retail etc)

Assume overall responsibility for human resources across the group (1300 people)

Strong IR skills

Strong Management skills and Payroll knowledge - Two direct reports: HR Manager, Payroll Manager (team of 7)
