We are looking for an experienced Life Orientation Educator who can drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all scholars.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Exercise Science and/or Sociology or Psychology and be able to equip scholars with the knowledge and tools required for matriculation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery: Plan and deliver face-to-face and distance lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work closely with grade-level and content-area partners to develop rigorous and engaging learning experiences.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to track student progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Social-Emotional Development: Lead scholar social and emotional development through Character Quotient (CQ) sessions and reflections.
- Programme Implementation: Plan, deliver, and monitor programmes to support low-performing scholars and extend high-performing scholars.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: B.Ed. or PGCE degree in Life Orientation - Senior & FET Phase
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a High School context
- Certifications: SACE registration
