We have 21 primary schools and 5 high schools, serving over 18,000 families. We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as an Assistant Principal.
The successful candidate will drive student achievement by providing instructional coaching and professional development to benefit classroom instruction and the Learning Lab. They will support the Principal in providing teachers with the training and support necessary to be highly effective educators.
The role is integral to our 'culture' and commitment to rigorous, engaging learning experiences for our scholars.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and facilitate weekly professional development sessions for faculty members, arranging for individual growth opportunities.
- Maintain a regular observation schedule, reviewing educator performance to ensure they can plan, execute, and implement our culture and behaviour management techniques.
- Implement our network's curriculum, aligning with and extending South Africa's national curriculum.
- Facilitate online curriculum and small-group tutoring in the Learning Lab, aligned with classroom instruction.
- Analyse student performance and identify areas for targeted instruction through an assessment and data analysis cycle.
- Collaborate with school leadership to manage staff, facilitating termly evaluations.
- Select new personnel and onboard instructional staff members.
- Communicate network-wide policies and procedures to stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Criminal clearance.
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Bachelor of Education or Postgraduate Certificate in Education.
- SACE registration.
Experience:
- Managing or working with primary-aged children.
- Classroom instruction experience.
- Team leadership experience.
- Labour law practice.
