Job Description:Role Summary:
The successful candidate will drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behavior, and academic growth for all scholars.
This role involves developing rigorous, engaging learning experiences and implementing individualized behavior and learning plans for scholars.
You'll work collaboratively with grade-level and content-area partners to create high-quality lesson plans and assessments.
Additionally, you'll participate in professional development sessions and analyze scholar data to track progress and intervene when necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons, delivering academic and clubs lessons.
- Collaborate with grade-level and content-area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences.
- Participate in scheduled professional development sessions.
- Develop and administer formative and termly assessments to track student progress.
- Submit and analyze scholar data to track progress and intervene when necessary.
- Lead scholar social and emotional development through CQ sessions and reflections.
- Plan, deliver, and monitor programs to support low-performing scholars or extend high-performing scholars.
- Participate in place-based education and career and tertiary pathways education.
- Develop SPARK culture and implement behavior management strategies.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.
- Nurture a high-achieving work environment.
- Promote the vision and mission of SPARK Schools to staff, scholars, families, and the community.
- Implement crisis management strategies and adhere to child protection, anti-bullying, and health and safety policies.
- Attend Saturday events and parent community meetings.
- Submit student results data when required.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- English language fluency.
- A completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in Art/Visual Arts - Senior & FET Phase.
- 2-3 years of experience in a High School Context.
- SACE registration.
- A clear/clean criminal record.
