**Role Overview**

As a Science Educator, you will drive student achievement by maintaining high expectations for classroom culture, behaviour, and academic growth for all scholars. You will be a content specialist in Physical and Life Sciences, equipping scholars with knowledge and tools required for matriculation and working collaboratively in leading an integrated inquiry-based curriculum.

**Responsibilities**

  • Plan, teach, and co-teach face-to-face and distance lessons for academic and clubs programmes.
  • Collaborate with grade level and content area partners to develop rigorous, engaging learning experiences and create individualized behaviour and learning plans for scholars.
  • Participate in scheduled professional development sessions and lead scholar social and emotional development through Character Quotient sessions and reflections.
  • Develop and administer assessments to track student progress, analyse data, and intervene when necessary.
  • Lead programmes to support low-performing scholars or extend high-performing ones, participate in place-based education, and contribute to career and tertiary pathways education.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies, communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and stakeholders, and promote our vision and mission.

**Qualifications and Criteria**

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • English language fluency
  • Completed B.Ed or PGCE degree in Science FET Phase
  • 3 to 5 years of teaching experience with at least 2 years of successful Matric Pass
  • SACE registration
  • A clear criminal record
