Job Description

CORE PURPOSE OF JOB: As the Restaurant Operations Manager at HR Genie, you will be responsible for overseeing the profitability and productivity of our catering outlet. Your primary goal will be to ensure efficient and effective management of staff in providing quality food while maintaining customer satisfaction and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant legislation.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

  • Efficient and quality production and delivery of food to meet customer expectations
  • Manage the efficient and effective set-up of in-house dining areas to create an exceptional customer experience
  • Oversee the running of the kitchen to maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
  • Effective staff management to ensure optimal performance and engagement
  • Documentation control and management/reporting to ensure seamless operations
  • Maximize financial output and minimize financial risk and loss through sound financial management
  • Optimize stock management to reduce waste and increase efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with food, health, and safety requirements to ensure a safe working environment
  • Deliver exceptional customer service excellence to build strong relationships with customers

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 certificate plus a relevant qualification in the food/hospitality industry
  • A valid driver's license
  • 2-5 years of experience in the food services industry, with 2-3 years in a management role
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer-facing roles
