About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Guest Relations/Restaurant Manager to join our team at Bright Placements. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest service experiences across our lounge, bar, and dining areas.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To oversee daily operations of the restaurant, bar, cellar, and lounge area, ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Manage and train staff to maintain high standards of service, handle guest complaints, and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and operational efficiency, working closely with other departments as needed.
  • Be responsible for stock management, including ordering, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Take weekly and monthly stock of all equipment and products to ensure accurate tracking and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service and presentation of meals.
  • Maintain good communication with Front of House staff, Kitchen, and Management teams.
  • Responsible for presentation of menus and winelists, assisting with Guest Delight stops when required.
  • Proven experience as a Guest Relations Officer and Restaurant Manager, with excellent communication skills and the ability to host international guests.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in hospitality, preferably with experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with the ability to motivate and manage staff effectively.
  • Deep knowledge of wines and food service, with the ability to upsell and provide expert recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts.
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and best practices, including Customer Service Excellence, Food Safety, Staff training, Stock Control, and Guest Feedback.
  • A valid driver's license and flexibility to work split shifts.
