Job Overview:

As a claims professional in our talent pipeline, you'll be responsible for providing top-tier claims support and administration to clients and account executives. You'll help ensure brokers meet business objectives by minimizing claims expenses, managing claims processes, and upholding high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Performance:

  • Strategically reduce claims expenses and minimize associated costs.
    • Contribute to the overall goal of reducing business expenses.

Client Relationships:

  • Deliver accurate, timely, and professional communications with all stakeholders (clients, account executives, insurers).
    • Foster and maintain strong, mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
      • Ensure clients are kept updated on the status of their claims and help achieve client satisfaction goals.

Business Processes:

  • Uphold company quality standards and comply with regulatory frameworks throughout all claims processes.
    • Oversee the claims administration process, including receiving claims notifications, collecting necessary documentation, and managing claims to resolution.
      • Assess claims validity, estimate values, and apply policy terms and conditions accurately.
        • Facilitate the appointment of assessors or loss adjusters and maintain current records in internal systems.

Claims Management:

  • Ensure claims are processed in line with coverage and organizational guidelines.
    • Act as an intermediary between insurers and clients, ensuring clear communication and prompt resolutions.
      • Follow up on recoveries and keep clients informed throughout the process.
        • Meet productivity targets and contribute to continuous performance improvements.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Matric or equivalent.
    • Experience: A minimum of 3 years' claims experience in Personal Lines and Commercial.
      • Location: Based in Cape Town or Johannesburg, South Africa with occasional in-person connections.
