Job Title: Dermatology Portfolio Promoter

Company Overview: A leading pharmaceutical company in Cape Town seeks a skilled Sales Representative to promote their dermatology and respiratory portfolios to pharmacy groups.

Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting sales in and out of pharmacies, servicing clients, and building strong relationships with these clients. This includes executing marketing strategies in the field, ensuring visibility of the company's products, and liaising with targeted pharmacists to sell their products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote products to targeted pharmacies
  • Liaise and persuade target responsible pharmacists to sell their products using effective selling skills and cost-benefit analysis
  • Sell and promote against sales targets and achieve territory plan objectives
  • Implement and execute value-added programs across the territory
  • Territory management and developing a routine call cycle for all customers within the allocated territory
  • Build relationships with target customers to enhance product knowledge and gain product endorsement to generate sales
  • Ensure all target customers are fully informed of the product range, correct product application/dosages through regular trainings and one-on-one detailing
  • General admin: Consolidate monthly expenses, weekly call planner, and feedback on infield activities to the Area Sales Manager
  • Travel to defined geographies to promote products
  • Organize appointments and meetings with targeted pharmacies
  • Identify and establish new businesses in your area
  • Monitor and analyze data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage
  • Meet both business and scientific needs of the healthcare professional responsible pharmacist
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management
  • Review sales performance in monthly reviews and present territory
  • Attend company meetings, technical data presentation, and briefings
  • Uplift any products if required
  • Building of displays/Gondola ends

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years Healthcare/Pharmaceutical experience
  • Strong knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Computer literate
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle
  • Diploma/Degree
  • Tertiary qualifications in Science/Sales and Marketing or Business
