Portfolio Manager

Our client is a leading provider of specialized financial solutions and advisory services to businesses and high-net-worth individuals in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive business growth and maximize profitability through effective new business development, financial analysis, and strategic cross-selling efforts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within specific sectors, such as Agriculture, Transport, Technology, and Renewable Energy.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and deals.
  • Analyse market trends to capitalize on emerging opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of client needs and propose tailored financial solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to structure deals that meet both client requirements and company objectives.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Evaluate the financial viability of proposed deals and assess their potential impact on overall profitability.
  • Ensure timely and efficient execution of new business transactions from initiation to closure.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing clients to uncover additional business needs and promote complementary products or services.
  • Measure the quality of leads provided to other business units within the company, prioritizing quality over quantity.

Requirements:

  • Strong financial analysis and assessment capabilities.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain robust client relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and market analysis proficiency.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Proficiency in understanding and selling financial solutions tailored to client needs.
  • 2-6 years of experience in a sales position with a financial background/solution selling.
  • Sound understanding of RV (Residual Value) within asset leasing.
  • Interest and knowledge in the tech industry, IT systems, hardware, and software solutions.
  • Ability to understand and analyse financial statements.
  • Driver's License (Code 08).
  • Clean Credit Record.
  • Familiarity with the National Credit Act.

Qualifications:

  • BCom degree with Finance and/or Mathematics, Accounting as a subject(s).
