Job Description

The role of a Chef Lecturer at Capsicumcooking involves teaching activities and ensuring the delivery of the set course curriculum in accordance with our policies and philosophy of individuality and excellence in culinary arts.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinating, mentoring, and assisting students with respect to theory and practical studies and cultivating their individual creative spirit.
  2. Managing student discipline and formal correspondence relating to student discipline.
  3. Ensuring implementation and adherence to policies and processes as set out by legislation, accreditation bodies, and Capsicumcooking guidelines.
  4. Managing food and kitchen items, equipment ordering, purchasing, receiving, cost, and stock control as per our guidelines.
  5. Ensuring promotional and culinary event planning and participation.
  6. Coordinating all aspects of assessment.
Requirements:

A Culinary Arts qualification and Assessor Qualification are essential for this position. Additionally, we require training in management and leadership, computer literacy, interpersonal skills, and culinary arts and industry courses to stay up-to-date with developments in the area of specialty.

Two years of lecturing experience in City & Guilds Culinary Arts syllabus is also required.
