Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Operations Director to oversee our accounting, accounts payable, debtors, banking, and payroll teams. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes while preparing comprehensive management reports that provide insights into Group financial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance team with strategic direction, providing guidance on financial planning and analysis.
  • Develop and enforce financial policies and controls to ensure compliance and risk management.
  • Collaborate with other departments to achieve business objectives and drive growth.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Manage supplier relationships and banking operations, negotiating contracts and agreements.
  • Support payroll processing and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting key trends and insights.
  • Work closely with the FP&A team on budgeting and performance monitoring, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Handle financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify automation opportunities for financial processes, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Provide financial insights to inform business decisions, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring statutory compliance.
Requirements
  • Relevant financial degree or qualification, such as CIMA or CA (SA).
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in an analytical/finance role, preferably in the QSR or Retail industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
