Job Title: Compensation Operations Manager - Muizenberg

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compensation Operations Manager to oversee our payroll operations in Muizenberg, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. As the Compensation Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and executing the compensation process, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and driving efficiency in compensation operations.

This role requires a hands-on leader who can guide a team, manage compensation systems, and collaborate with HR and finance to support our workforce effectively. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage end-to-end compensation processing for all employees.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of compensation, including earnings, deductions, taxes, and benefits.
  • Maintain compensation records and ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits to verify compensation accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Collaborate with HR and finance teams to coordinate employee benefits, salary adjustments, and other compensation-related matters.
  • Manage compensation systems, making recommendations for process improvements and system upgrades.
  • Lead, train, and develop compensation staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Prepare and submit regular compensation reports to management and government authorities as required.
  • Stay updated on compensation best practices, legislative changes, and emerging trends.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field. 5-10 years experience as a Compensation Operations Manager. Retail industry experience Strong knowledge of compensation principles, laws, and regulations in South Africa. Proficiency with compensation software (experience with specific software is a plus). Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with keen attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and leadership abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is R750,000 - R900,000 depending on experience.
