Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Barman to join our team at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa, located in a picturesque setting. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences and providing top-notch service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages to guests, ensuring excellent presentation and quality.
  • Interact with customers, take orders, and provide personalized recommendations to exceed their expectations.
  • Assess guest preferences and tailor your approach to meet their needs, fostering strong relationships and loyalty.
  • Mix and prepare ingredients for craft cocktails, staying up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques.
  • Develop and present an attractive bar menu, highlighting unique offerings and specials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Check drink presentations and temperature to ensure quality and consistency.
  • Prepare for service by setting up the bar, coffee stations, and equipment, guaranteeing a seamless experience.
  • Collaborate with management to manage bar stock, inventory, and supplies.

Main Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Barman in a high-end establishment is preferred.
  • You must be able to travel to and from the property for late shifts as required.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service orientation with exceptional people skills.
  • Ability to maintain professional working relationships across cultures and religions.
  • Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele.
  • Honesty, flexibility, accountability, and friendliness are essential qualities.
  • Punctuality and self-discipline are crucial for success in this role.
  • Attention to detail is vital in maintaining high standards of quality and consistency.
  • Basic computer and administration skills are necessary for effective management of tasks and responsibilities.

**Estimated Salary:** R250,000 - R300,000 per annum, depending on experience.
