Academic Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Academic Support Specialist to join our team at Stellenbosch University. About the Role:
The Student Finance Client Service Consultant will be responsible for providing exceptional support to students and their families, handling queries related to student finance, and ensuring that accurate information is provided. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify trends in customer queries and provide input on improving services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Provide professional and welcoming experience for walk-in, telephone, and email enquiries.
- Financial Aid Expertise: Keep informed of all relevant information pertaining to student fees, undergraduate bursaries, and current student affairs.
- Relationship Building: Maintain effective and constructive professional relationships with internal stakeholders within the University.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve complex student queries by proactively interacting with other colleagues and seeking information.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A relevant post-school qualification (e.g., national certificate or diploma in administration or office management).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as verbal skills in another official South African language.
- At least one year's client service experience in a service delivery call centre environment.
