Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team at Ultra Personnel. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing sales and managing existing customers in the West Rand.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales and Account Management: Take full accountability for the achievement of revenue streams, profitability, and volume growth for direct accounts in the portfolio.
  • Channel Conflict Management: Minimise and manage potential channel conflict, with the ultimate goal of eliminating conflict in this channel.
  • Process Development: Develop processes to measure, track, report, and communicate account performance to ensure specific focus and monitor trends, achievements, and performance against targets.
  • Market Penetration: Penetrate competitor markets and conduct cold calling at new/potential customers along with a focused growth strategy at existing customers in the allocated sales area.
  • Market Analysis: Analyse market potentials, track sales, and status reports to meet and exceed sales budgets (volume & revenue).
  • Customer Relationships: Establish, promote, and maintain positive business and customer relationships, ensuring adherence to company policy and procedures while maintaining integrity and sound business practices.
  • Customer Service: Ensure effective customer satisfaction and after-sales care, performing internal and customer-facing presentations, and liaising with internal office to produce client proposals and manage delivery and follow-up.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide weekly feedback relating to lost sales and back orders, submit monthly call planners, and daily update of CRM with visit information and telephone calls.
  • Sales Planning: Provide a plan for their sales area annually, showing sales per customer in the previous year, sales extrapolated for the current year, sales plan for the next year, target customers, and any other duty assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Matric
  • A Technical Qualification will secure
  • 2-3 years proven sales experience in a technical field
  • Own transport and valid drivers license
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Technical sales experience is essential
  • Knowledge of the abrasive industry would be an advantage
