Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Statement Clerk to join our team in the role of Accounts Receivable Specialist. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth management of our company's cash flow and accounts receivable.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for generating and sending accurate and timely statements of accounts or required reports to customers. This includes monitoring and following up on outstanding balances and past due accounts via emails and calls. Additionally, they will reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.

You will also act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and discrepancies related to accounts receivable. Your prompt and professional responses will help maintain positive customer relationships and resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Generate and send accurate and timely statements of accounts or required reports to customers.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding balances and past due accounts via emails and calls.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries and discrepancies related to accounts receivable.
  • Implement collection strategies to minimize outstanding receivables and reduce delinquency.
  • Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, including aging analysis, cash flow projections, and collection effectiveness metrics.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
