Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, the ability to implement process improvements, and expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage warehouse operations in compliance with company policies and vision.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Prepare annual budget.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly.
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
  • Process orders and plan the dispatching of products.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

  • Review the effectiveness of health and safety measures.
  • Identify potential hazards and major incidents at the workplace.
  • Assist the employer in establishing the cause of incidents at the workplace.
  • Investigate employees' complaints regarding health and safety at the workplace.
  • Make representations regarding the above to the employer, health and safety committee, and the inspector.
  • Inspect the workplace at agreed intervals.
  • Participate with, and accompany inspectors during their inspections.
  • Attend the health and safety committee meeting.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a warehouse manager.
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have logistics experience.
  • Product knowledge of: Pipes and Fittings, Irrigation, or Fluids.
