Job Summary:

Placement Dynamics is seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Specialist to join our team in Sandton. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling test and measurement equipment, including high-level Radio Frequency (RF) communications solutions, into a geographically defined area.

About the Role:

  • Sell test measurement equipment and recorder solutions to clients within a designated territory, leveraging your technical expertise and industry knowledge to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Bid successfully on tenders and proposals, working closely with clients to understand their needs and develop customized solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, principals, and other stakeholders, ensuring excellent customer service and driving repeat business.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies, identifying new business opportunities and growing existing client relationships through targeted outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding sales targets, managing the entire sales process from initial contact to close.
  • Responsible for maintaining accurate records of sales activities, including call reports, meeting notes, and customer interactions.
  • Liaise with internal teams, including marketing, product management, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of sales forecasts, market analysis, and competitor research, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience, with a proven track record of success in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of RF communications technology and its applications in various industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, self-motivated, and target-driven, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on building lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Possess basic PC literacy, particularly with Microsoft Suite, and be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies as required.
