Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Digital Solutions Consultant to join our team at Dimension Data.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have solid sales experience in a technology or services environment and a sound understanding of IT Managed Services. They should also have demonstrable experience of solution-based selling with a proven track record of sales over-achievement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gaining an understanding of customers' diverse and specific business needs and applying product knowledge to meet them.
  • Ensuring quality of service by developing a thorough and detailed knowledge of technical specifications and other features of employers' systems and processes, and then documenting them.
  • Identifying and developing new business through networking and follow-up courtesy calls.
  • Preparing and delivering presentations and demonstrations of software to customers.
  • Maintaining awareness and keeping abreast of constantly changing software and hardware systems and peripherals.
  • Developing effective sales plans using sales methodology.
  • Meeting sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets.
  • Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades.
  • Handling hardware or software problems and faults, referring on to specialist technical colleagues where appropriate.
  • Responding to tender documents, proposals, reports, and supporting literature.
  • Managing workload in order to organize and prioritize daily and weekly goals.
  • Contributing to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Solid sales experience in a technology or services environment.
  • Sound understanding of IT Managed Services environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of solution-based selling with a proven track record of sales over-achievement.
  • Prior experience of selling complex solutions and services to C-Level clients.
  • Experience of resolving a wide range of issues in creative ways to meet targets and objectives.
  • Strong experience of networking with senior internal and external people in the specialist area of expertise.
  • Expert level capability and the ability to work independently with little instruction on day-to-day workload.
  • Negotiation Skill methodologies such as Scotworks.
  • Must have WAN/LAN solution selling experience.

Benefits:

This role offers a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic and innovative company.
