Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of our transportation operations, including administrative tasks, vehicle tracking, and maintenance records. You will also be required to maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle details, fuel consumption, and maintenance logs. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all drivers' activities are tracked and monitored effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling of administrative queries related to transportation operations.
- Ensuring monthly diesel price and any other adjustments are calculated correctly.
- Calculating diesel consumption accurately and maintaining accurate records.
- Corresponding with drivers effectively to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitoring and tracking driver's activities to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Vehicles tracking and maintenance of relevant paperwork pertaining company vehicles.
- Loading invoices and PODs onto Sage software.
- Performing high levels of administrative work, including data entry and record-keeping.
- Compiling proof of deliveries, invoices, etc.
- Updating Excel files with all information required.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle details, fuel consumption, maintenance logs, and relevant data.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
- General knowledge of transport operations.
- Strong computer competences, which also involves adequate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & Sage.
- A minimum of 4 – 5 years' experience within the transport industry.
- Effective, efficient, and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with drivers and other stakeholders.
- A high level of commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Attention to detail.
- Initiative, energy, and drive to meet very tight deadlines.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
Estimated Salary: R250,000 - R350,000 per annum.
