Receiving Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Receiving Manager to join our team at Riseup Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full day-to-day function of the Receiving/Imports operation, including managing all staff involved in the operations, handling the shift structure, and implementing new SOPs when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the full day-to-day function of the Receiving/Imports operation
* Managing all staff involved in the operations (30 to 60 subordinates, excluding the daily casual labor compliment)
* Handling the shift structure, including weekly updates and adjustments
* Implementing new SOPs when necessary
* Monitoring and managing overtime work within the budgetary allowance
* Maintaining all overtime schedules and spreadsheets for the entire operation across all departments
* Implementing and maintaining cost-saving initiatives to drive profitability of the company
* Reporting on additional operations items undertaking and ensuring communication is clear for recovery of charges on each aspect
* Monitoring additional schedules per customer for certain handling, wrapping, and re-working aspects
* Handling the outsourced staffing portfolios for operational staff requirements
* Booking the required unpack teams daily for the operation
* Issuing of the monthly and daily POs to the labor service providers based on utilization and verification of hours
* Booking and monitoring of servicing and repairs within the MHE fleet
* Issuing of respective POs for the servicing and maintenance of MHE to service providers and monitoring additional hours beyond service contracts
* Reporting on overall operational capacities and volumes daily
* Motivating the team to perform and constantly pushing operations to achieve desired volumes and targets
* Monitoring staff performances and focus on upskilling
* Ordering and maintaining stock levels of consumables for the facilities operations and ensuring orders placed timeously for delivery (Work with the consumables assistant)
* Full and constant monitoring and responsibility of adherence to HAZ/SHEQ/OHS requirements on site
* Conducting toolbox talks with staff on a constant basis for various subjects and concerns that arise
* Completing OHS/SHEQ checklists required for the operations for the site
* Maintaining excellent records for all aspects of the operation
* General additional assistance to the Operations Manager as necessary and as requirements arise
Requirements
* 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Strong knowledge of warehouse and freight management systems
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
* Strong knowledge of HAZ/SHEQ/OHS requirements and regulations
* Ability to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
* Strong knowledge of supply chain and logistics principles and practices
* Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
* Strong knowledge of Excel and other software applications
* Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the overall success of the organization
