Job Summary:

J.A.Z Recruitment is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Development Support Officer to join our team. As a Business Development Support Officer, you will play a critical role in supporting the business development team in their daily activities, ensuring the smooth operation of our business development processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BDM Support:
    • Manage the CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date account and contact information.
    • Administer the TOB Process for new International Financial Advisor relationships and liaise with relevant parties.
    • Work with Marketing to allocate prospects to IBCs resulting from lead generation initiatives.
    • Support IBCs at events and networking with International Financial Advisors, collecting data and following up.
    • Assist IBCs with general support around information requests and technical queries.
    • Assist with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective IFAs.
  • Relationship Management & Servicing:
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with IFAs via email, phone, and in-person, and run a Hospitality program.
    • Take responsibility for ensuring IFAs are trained or have access to training on administrative, product, and AML matters.
    • Visit accounts or attend events as needed.
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships internally with key decision makers and stakeholders, particularly New Business & Enquiries, and act as a conduit between IBCs and the operational side of the business.
    • Assist in delivering the IFA service model through in-person and online IFA engagement.

  • Reporting:
    • Take responsibility for reporting and analysis of business flows, account activity, including new accounts (TOB), trends, target versus actual levels of business, funding levels, and activity, both at account level and for internal reporting on business development activities.
    • Develop and maintain reporting on competitor products and activity to assist management with decisions regarding product, pricing, and market positioning.
    • Provide regular briefing and reporting on all new TOB and progress in developing these accounts into business-generating accounts.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in customer relationship management software (CRM).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with IFAs.
  • Knowledge of administrative and operational processes.
  • Strong empathetic disposition to deal with challenging circumstances.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to change.
  • A desire to learn and grow in the IFA servicing and technical space.
  • At least 5 years of experience in operational matters and working directly with IFAs.
