Job Description

Future Africa Consulting (Pty)Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Strategic Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our IT functional strategy and objectives, ensuring alignment with our overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Direction and Alignment
  • Contribute to the development of the IT functional strategy and objectives in line with the company's overall strategy.
  • Drive the implementation of the Information Management strategies, plans, and procedures to support the IT and business strategies.
  • Assist in driving the implementation of the IT functional strategy, plans, and procedures to support the company's overall strategy.
  • Keep abreast of new developments and best practices in IT and Information management internationally and locally.
  1. Operational Leadership and Process Management
  • Provide leadership regarding all the operations of the department from an overall perspective, including the provision of ICT Project Management.
  • Review, execute, and monitor the ICT strategy and framework to be aligned with the company's strategic goals, objectives, and departmental operational plan.
  • Drive the implementation of plans, policies, processes, practices, procedures, and systems, and ensure sustainability of business.
  • Ensure that operations meet all goals, targets, and timelines and create value for the business and ensure credibility.
  • Manage the relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  1. Information Management and Privacy
  • Develop, lead, and deliver the information management program, including the implementation of the delivery of the program and initiatives within IT.
  • Maintain expert knowledge in public sector information management, privacy, and record management practice.
  • Manage the development and implementation of information management strategies, policies, and processes at the company.
  • Develop and maintain strong information management governance systems and processes.
  • Manage and continuously improve the processes supporting the company's physical and digital records.
  • Incorporate compliance and standards-based good practice design and operation of the company's information assets and processes for managing physical and digital documents and records.
  • Provide the company's staff with information management and privacy guidance, training, and configuration advice so they can work effectively while meeting the company's information management and privacy policies and processes and complying with relevant legislation.
  • Educate the company's staff and stakeholders on information management, privacy, and records management good practice to support new ways of working through the use of digital technology and collaborate with information at the company.
  1. Governance and Reporting
  • Monitor and report on the Information Management practice development progress.
  • Monitor and report on legislative and statutory compliance as defined by the government.
  • Manage the strategic relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement Information Management legislation, framework, and standards.
  1. People Management
  • Ensure that the Records Management Coordinator has a signed performance agreement.
  • Conduct performance assessments and finalize them as per the set timelines.
  • Ensure that performance agreements and assessments are in place and finalized timeously.
  • Train staff as per their Performance Development Plan (PDP).
  1. Internal and External Audits
  • Ensure submission of relevant information as requested by auditors within the prescribed timelines.
  • Submit clarifications to the auditors within the prescribed timelines.
  • Submit audit findings management response within prescribed timelines.
  • Input into the management action plan to address findings.
  • Resolve management action plans within the prescribed timelines.
