Key Responsibilities:
- Travel within the designated territory to meet prospects and customers.
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and repeat customers.
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally.
- Sell the company's products or services to customers within your given territory.
- Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.
- Develop a knowledge of the product and become an expert in the field.
- Ensure administration is up to date by completing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
- Achieve sales targets consistently.
- Establish relationships internally with all departments that support sales.
- Ensure customer service satisfaction and maintain excellent customer relationships.
Requirements:
- Tertiary education will be an advantage.
- 2 – 3 years' experience in sales within the metal industries.
- Ability to influence, negotiate, and communicate business strategy and objectives.
- Understanding of statistical analysis tools, basic PC operation, project management, continuous improvement, quality and basic financial principles, and ability to apply them to analyze and develop sales strategies.
- Own reliable transport to visit customers.
Desired Skills:
- Track record of over-achieving quota.
- Experience working with SYSPRO is advantageous.
- Familiarity with different sales techniques and pipeline management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels, to maintain relationships and cooperation in pursuing the company's goals.
- Well-groomed.
- Aptitude to learn and understand production processes.
