Job Overview:
  • Protect and grow key accounts.
  • Ensure key account customer satisfaction.
  • Grow AGL's market share and gross margin objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Effectively manage key accounts through multi-level customer contact.
  • Establish annual budgets for key accounts in alignment with company goals.
  • Serve as AGL's primary entry point for nominated key accounts.
  • Precisely consolidate and update customer information.
  • Contribute to growing AGL's market share and profitability by leveraging customers' operations across our network.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive customer business plan.
  • Analyze and review AGL's performance and quality indicators with the customer.
  • Coordinate customer business planning across our Global and Regional teams.
  • Lead direct sales, growth, and retention efforts with identified customers.
  • Design and implement operational and pricing procedures with relevant front, middle, and back-office teams.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Business Solutions (CBS) team to provide client-specific reporting.
  • Facilitate monthly Customer Performance Reviews.
  • Support CBS with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and reporting.
  • Assist CBS with financial analysis.
  • Maintain regular internal business reporting:
  • Document weekly activities in CRM.
  • Monitor actual Gross Margin per client compared to budget.
  • Cipher increase/decrease in Gross Margin.
  • Identify potential account growth opportunities.
  • Highlight clients at risk and explain the reasoning behind it.
  • Pinpoint and clarify lost business.
  • Execute daily account management tasks:
  • Resolve operational queries efficiently.
  • Cultivate effective payment collection processes.
  • Navigate tenders and RFQs:
  • Accompany clients in tender/pricing inquiries.
  • Cooperate with the Customer Service Support (CSS) team.
  • Preside over tender sessions and ensure compliance with Middle Office protocols.
  • Liaise with essential departments during tender preparation and delivery.
  • Detect fresh opportunities and/or expansion opportunities within the existing or prospective client base.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Matric certification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or an equivalent field.
  • A minimum of five years industry-related experience.
  • Proficiency in offering complete supply chain solutions.
